I think history shows that this is just “how the world evolves” what staggers me is that the failing country’s ( inc the UK ) fail to see that their time is past. We are neither “Great” or “United” we need to learn not to further isolate our selfs and to work alongside the emerging countries wherever possable. But I just do telesales….. what do I know. Great article Jack. Thank you. Sally Wilkinson.
Thank you Sally! I agree - aligned to the "changing world order theory" written by Ray Dalio, on a long enough time horizon the world has always worked in cycles. The Roman and British Empires didn't realise they had 'fallen' until many decades after the events that in hindsight make it clear that they had fallen.
Sadly our politicians seem to only be able to focus on short-term issues, rather than focusing on long-term strategic changes such as aligning closely with countries that share our values and are on the rise, mainly India! We are far too proud for that.
